Job Title: ESL Teacher (English as a Second Language)

Location: Gospel Plaza, 42-35 Main Street, 2F, Flushing, NY 11355

Department: Herald Learning Center

Hours: Approximately 8.5 hours per week

Days: Daytime, Monday to Friday

Hourly Rate: Starting at $17 per hour

Expected Start Date: November 17, 2025

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Chris􀆟an ESL Teacher who is passionate about education and carries a genuine heart for the Gospel. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality English instruc􀆟on while serving as a model of faith, encouraging students to grow both academically and spiritually.

Key Responsibilites:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging ESL lessons tailored to students’ language proficiency levels.

• Integrate Christian values appropriately into lessons, fostering both language learning and character development.
• Create a positive, supportive, and interac􀆟ve classroom environment that encourages participation and growth.
• Develop and utilize teaching materials, resources, and activities that promote effective learning.
• Assess students’ progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Adapt instructional methods to meet diverse learning styles and individual needs.
• Encourage cross-cultural understanding and confidence in communication.
• Pray for and with students when appropriate, demonstrating Christ’s love through teaching and personal example.

Qualifications:

• Commitied Christian with a clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ.
• A genuine passion for teaching and a heart for sharing the Gospel.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Linguis􀆟cs, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Prior ESL or EFL teaching experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, crea􀆟ve, and enthusiastic, with a desire to serve through both education and ministry.
