To clearly express the fundamental position of the Christian churches represented by the New York Chinese Christian Workers Inc, we make an important announcement for the 2025 New York City mayoral election:
First, we unequivocally oppose the ideas and policies promoted by mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani, a self-proclaimed democratic socialist, during his campaign. These policies will severely damage New York's position as the economic and cultural center of an international metropolis, severely undermine the moral values and traditional beliefs that have been the foundation of America's prosperity, and bring even greater disaster to the New York metropolis.
Second, we firmly believe that the earth and everything in it, the world and those who live in it, belong to the Lord (Psalm 24:1). This is because sovereignty belongs to the Lord; He rules over all nations (Psalm 22:28). Anyone who rebels against God will be driven out and left to live with wild animals in the wilderness, eating grass like cattle.
Third, as the city’s watchmen, we have a responsibility to stand up against false ideologies, defend New York’s spiritual and moral foundations, and issue warnings from God.
Fourth, the proposals put forward by democratic socialist candidates are extremely tempting. The so-called rent freeze, free public transportation, city-run grocery stores, increased taxes on the rich and large corporations, higher minimum wage, legalized prostitution, more dangerous casinos, the release of prisoners from prisons, prison closures, the dismantling of police departments, the disbanding of SWAT teams, the replacement of police law enforcement agencies with community safety bureaus, the abolition of the cash bail system, and the promotion of diverse, equal and inclusive policies seem bright and promising on the surface, but in reality they are attempts to promote the failed policies of countries like Cuba and Venezuela. They are immediately opposed to the moral ethics of the American Charter. These are all monsters of utopian socialism and are simply impossible to achieve.
Fifth, we firmly believe that the government is not the answer to solving difficult problems. Only by using scientific rationality and normal thinking to formulate policies and perform government duties with an impartial and objective attitude can we avoid exaggerating the role of the government, encourage people to get rich through hard work, protect the privatization of property stipulated in the Charter, protect the government from dictatorship, truly protect the rights of victimized women, truly protect the normal family moral and ethical order, and maintain normal social order.
Sixth, social security and crime reduction need to be addressed from multiple aspects. Closing prisons, releasing criminals, eliminating cash bail, replacing law enforcement police with social workers, and so on will turn New York into a lawless criminal paradise for drug dealers and drug users, and will not bring any social peace.
Seventh, if we continue to pursue radical policies of diversity and multi-sexism, if we continue to pursue policies of diversity, equality and inclusiveness, it will not only intensify social contradictions, undermine family ethics and the basic framework of the family, but will also inevitably destroy traditional marriages and families, and New York society will soon die out.
Eighth, if the housing policies of countries like Cuba and Venezuela are continued, housing and medical care will be nationalized, which will result in shortages of goods, inflation, and people's livelihood will be in dire straits, and people will flee New York.
Now as New York City 2025 mayoral election approaching, we urgently call on New York Christian churches, pastors, missionaries, faith community leaders, Christian families, and all friends who agree with our declaration to come together and sign this declaration. We call on everyone to protect religious freedom and truth, to stand up in prayer and mobilize public witness in many ways, and to save New York from the tragedy of democratic socialism and make it a blessed great city.
**If you wish to endorse and sign this declaration, please provide your name, or the name of your church/organization, along with your contact information for record purposes. Thank you for your cooperation.
