Bible verse of the Month 本月金句

「……人是看外貌,耶和華是看內心。」《撒母耳記上16章7節》
“…People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” ( 1 Samuel 16:7)

Meaning: can’t judge something or someone merely on the appearance or the look of it.

Kenny: Have you formed your new football team to play in the coming inter-school match?
Ricky: Well, I’m still looking for a striker. It’s so difficult to find a good player in our school!
Kenny: What about Jackson? I heard he was once a striker of the school team in another school.
Ricky: Oh! You mean Jackson Ho ? He speaks so softly and he looks so gentle. He doesn’t look like a football player at all. I don’t think he can be a good striker!
Kenny: You don’t judge a book by its cover! Why don’t you talk to him first and know more of his experience?
