本報看重讀者們的親子關係，藉著父母與孩子學習英語的時刻，增加他們溝通的機會。使用這教材的方法如下：
（一）請你與孩子一起朗讀內容及本月金句；
（二）透過所閱讀的內容，引導孩子分享他們的看法和經歷，藉此提升他們的品格及學習如何與人相處；
（三）鼓勵你的孩子完成下列的活動，並於2017年4月30日前寄回本報，我們將寄上一份小禮物。

Meaning: To keep a promise.

Ryan: Why are you crying, Emma? Did you not have good results in your English exam?
Emma: I got an “A”. I’m in fact the best in the whole Form.
Ryan: Wow, well done! So why are you still crying?
Emma: My mum said she would take me to Disneyland if I get over 90 marks in my English exam. And now I have achieved more than her expectations, but she wouldn’t keep her word!
Ryan: Oh, how come?
Emma: She said I have to get 90 marks in all subjects before she’ll take me there!
