Meaning : Teasing or playing a joke on someone.
Jessie : Hi Edward! Have you had a good Chinese New Year holiday! I heard you went to Australia with your family.
Edward : Oh! We didn’t go! I had to stay in Hong Kong because my boss from Canada had decided to come to Hong Kong to see what Chinese New Year was like. So I had to tour him round the city.
Jessie : What? Are you pulling my leg? You gave up your holiday plan because of the sudden visit of your boss? You must be kidding, Edward!
Edward : It was true. I really hope that this wouldn’t happen to me again!
